School Excursions at Lucieville

Lucieville Farm, located on the South West Highway 8 kms south of Bridgetown, is set on 191 hectares of open paddocks, blue gum plantation and natural bush land. This working farm runs a herd of around fifty breeding cows for the production of beef, a small flock of sheep for the production of wool and meat, and a small domestic orchard. There is a large assortment of farm animals including; horses, chickens, turkeys, pigs, goats, geese, peacocks, guinea fowl, emus, rabbits, pet lambs and calves, and cattle dogs.

School and student group excursions at Lucieville offer a full day of involvement in the day to day operational activities of a working farm.

Activities include feeding chickens, pigs and goats; milking a cow; damper making; often a shearing demonstration and other farm activities dictated by the season.
